About Me
Mom · National Speaker · Faculty Lecturer · Published Author · OT Mentor
For nearly two decades I've helped children with feeding challenges, sleep difficulties, constipation, sensory differences, oral dysfunction, and developmental concerns. Over time, I noticed that the children were often the ones whose symptoms were being treated as isolated problems rather than connected pieces of a larger picture. Most clinicians are trained to address these challenges one at a time. I wanted a better way to understand the whole child.
So I built one.
As the founder of Flourish Carolina OT, a highly specialized pediatric practice in Charlotte, North Carolina, I've become known for helping families from all over the country uncover the underlying factors that may be contributing to a child's challenges when progress has stalled elsewhere.
Today, I teach OTs how to connect symptoms to systems through a whole-child lens. Built from thousands of evaluations, years of clinical practice, and lessons learned both professionally and personally, this framework helps therapists recognize patterns, identify why progress stalls, and support children more effectively. My work has been featured through organizations including MedMAPS and TACA, where I continue to lecture nationally.
