About Me

Mom · National Speaker · Faculty Lecturer · Published Author · OT Mentor

For nearly two decades I've helped children with feeding challenges, sleep difficulties, constipation, sensory differences, oral dysfunction, and developmental concerns. Over time, I noticed that the children were often the ones whose symptoms were being treated as isolated problems rather than connected pieces of a larger picture. Most clinicians are trained to address these challenges one at a time. I wanted a better way to understand the whole child.

So I built one.

As the founder of Flourish Carolina OT, a highly specialized pediatric practice in Charlotte, North Carolina, I've become known for helping families from all over the country uncover the underlying factors that may be contributing to a child's challenges when progress has stalled elsewhere.

Today, I teach OTs how to connect symptoms to systems through a whole-child lens. Built from thousands of evaluations, years of clinical practice, and lessons learned both professionally and personally, this framework helps therapists recognize patterns, identify why progress stalls, and support children more effectively. My work has been featured through organizations including MedMAPS and TACA, where I continue to lecture nationally.

“

We went from daily MiraLAX, chronic runny nose, eating 14 (mostly processed) foods, and waking 4x a night... to daily bowel movements and eating a variety of nutritious food without complaints. Her behavior has done a 180*, she is so much healthier and sleeping through the night. We can’t thank you enough!

— Parent of C, 3 years old

“

I heard Bri speak during grad school and was completely captivated by the connections she made between systems that I had never considered. I flew from CA to NC to have her evaluate my son. She has a unique ability to connect complex concepts in a way that is practical and transformative. Her knowledge, teaching, and clinical reasoning have had a lasting impact on me as both a clinician and parent.

— P.S. OTR/L

“

The teacher is reporting much better transitions between tasks with almost no meltdowns. We are seeing happier, more compliant mood after school and no more night time battles before bed. You have changed the whole dynamic of our family.

— Parent of S, 5 years old

“

As an OT myself, I knew Bri was the only therapist I wanted evaluating my child. She didn’t just help her eat more foods, she improved her sleep and her behavior significantly. She helped us address challenges that were impacting our entire family. The transformation we have seen has been remarkable. As both a parent and clinician, I can confidently say Bri is a true leader in pediatric OT.
